– « Backroad Carnival » de Cory Seznec une belle ballade dans le folk blues des années 30 mais empreint de modernité et d’une touche certaine de musique africaine
– « The Reverend Breaks it down » le retour du bon Reverend Shawn Amos un beau disque gorgé de Gospel et dont les textes renvoient à la lutte pour les droits civiques. Je vous recommande chaleureusement le titre « Moved »
– Mindi Albair & The Boneshakers là on est plus dans une veine funky, cette saxophoniste a une sacré présence et une voix sympa et le groupe n’est pas en reste, à côté Candy Dulfer c’est de la muzak
En un petit retour en arrière pour un bel album de Magic Slim en compagnie de John Primer c’est « Gravel Road ». Du chicago Blues à l’ancienne par un maître du genre
