Highway 55 est une émission dans laquelle nous nous attachons à mêler les genres musicaux qui sont nés aux USA au XXème siècle, à savoir : le BLUES, le ROCK N’ ROLL et le BOOGIE WOOGIE; mais on y trouve également toutes les musiques « dérivées » telles que le Rockabilly, le Rythm n’ Blues et autres de cette trempe.
On vous propose ces musiques telles qu’elles sont apparues, dans la première moitié du XXème siècle, mais on vous fait également entendre ce qu’elles sont devenues et comment elles sont jouées et encore bien vivantes de nos jours, heureusement !
